This seminar is designed to aid physicians in deciding where to practice. It provides specific information on pertinent health policy issues and business tools physicians need to use in their decision process. Upon completion of the seminar physicians will have a clear understanding of the present health care environment as well as how health care policies are likely to affect their practice in the years to come. They will know how to evaluate opportunities from financial and operational perspectives. In addition, they will also have been exposed to the language of business, which will give them greater confidence in initiating and understanding discussions with health systems and/or practice organizations. Exposure and participation in the seminar will assure meaningful and productive employment negotiations for all possible practice settings.
