Welcome

Data driven improvement was brought to healthcare as early as the 19th century by Florence Nightingale in her work to solve high mortality rates among wounded soldiers.  She lived among them, gathered valuable data, and created solutions that worked.  Her skill saved countless lives. Currently, most providers look to administrators to develop systems of care.  They understand what works and what doesn’t work, yet they are unable to initiate the changes that are needed to improve quality and safety.  This course is designed to return the skills of continuous  process improvement utilizing the PDSA tool to where it belongs and empower those in the closest contact with patients to effect change in the way they deliver care. With these skills, will come greater efficiency for your practice, and higher quality, and safety for your patients.  After completing this course you will have the skills needed to perform a team directed PDSA project, demonstrate data driven improvement results, and implement a long term plan to maintain your gains.
