DESCRIPTION
Your greatest challenge in healthcare today is not clinical.  Your greatest challenge is the delivery of safe and effective care to your patients at a low cost.  That is a business challenge and the solutions are found in obtaining and applying business skills.  These online courses, developed by physicians and business professionals with experience at every level of healthcare, are designed to significantly improve every physician’s  ability to deliver healthcare to their patients in order to meet that challenge.  The Business of Medicine Program consists of streaming video accessible using any smart device and comes with an opportunity to earn a Dannemiller CME certificate.   Physicians can participate in individual courses, selected packages or the entire library.

TARGET AUDIENCE
These online courses have been prepared for all individuals who work as healthcare professionals. There are no prerequisites to participate.

OBJECTIVES
After participating in the activity, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Apply business fundamentals relating to private practice, hospital administration, and government agencies.
  • Practice management skills.
  • Develop and manage budgets.
  • Manage a practice more efficiently and effectively.
  • Negotiate effectively with payers and insurers.
  • Analyze a medical organization’s financial health.

METHOD OF PARTICIPATION

Participants should first read the objectives and other introductory CME/CE information and then proceed to the educational activity. To receive credit for this activity, complete the post test and evaluation by clicking the link located at the bottom of the page. Credit is provided through December 31, 2015. No credit will be given after this date. There is a fee to participate in this activity.

Dannemiller is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Dannemiller designates this enduring material for a maximum of 22.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
